From car garage to art hall: This is why you should take a look at Franx

Franx is the new art garage in Zoetermeer. A super cool place full of art and gadgets that you can give yourself or someone else. On Saturday 11 March, Franx will open its doors to all Zoetermeer residents. We already went to take a look for you.

Many Zoetermeer residents know this location as the former Kwit Fit garage. The building on Vlamingstraat has undergone a major renovation. Within the art garage you can admire a new exhibition every six weeks, for free, by both Zoetermeerders and artists from home and abroad.

Goodies in the store

Upon entering, you step into the restaurant. A beautiful, bright space with colored tables and chairs and an industrial bar. A new owner is still being sought, but you can always go there for a cup of coffee and something delicious. Then you walk into the light blue store with a Scandinavian atmosphere. You can find original gifts and gadgets for the home here. You can browse through the beautiful vases, handy gadgets, care products and colored home accessories.

Surprise!

The showroom is now filled with special art objects by eight different visual artists. Highly recommended, because a surprise awaits you at every corner of the room. The art objects are all different and evoke different ideas in everyone. The corona theme, for example, is reflected in different styles. There is a gallery in the space next to the showroom. The Zoetermeer artist Gerart Kamphuis is currently exhibiting there with various paintings and glassware. Because of its frequently used, bright colors it is a colorful whole.

In Franx there are also two workshops and a third space where Urban Art is given a place. In the first workshop you will find Flirt Jewels, in the second Designstudio Mippe, where you can see creative entrepreneurs at work.
