It started with a note at the kitchen table and then Hidde (11) and Koen (11) collected signatures and money to realize a pump track track in Nieuw-Buinen. It took years, but now the construction of the track has really started.
“We still don’t realize that this is going to happen thanks to us,” Hidde and Koen say proudly next to the pump track track that is under construction. That is a continuous circuit with bumps and curves that follow each other rhythmically. The track can be used for all cycling and skating sports.
In March, the two announced that they could not wait and that the pump track track should be ready after the summer. Construction is now underway and the track should be ready in a few weeks.
The gentlemen regularly visit to see the construction of the pump track track. “They have already come a long way. Now all that needs to be done is asphalting.” There is currently a fence around it, but when the track is finished? “Then we can be found here every day,” say Hidde and Koen.
They also especially encourage everyone to come by. “Come and have a look! And put on a helmet.”
