At the start of the Ski Flying World Championships, Severin Freund lost practically all chances of defending his title. The Bavarian only managed 209.5 meters in the first round and in ninth place is more than 30 points behind the outstanding Slovenian Peter Prevc. The winner of the Four Hills Tournament set a hill record of 243 meters. Behind them are the two Norwegians Kenneth Gangnes and Johann Andre Forfang.
