Mboko plays too quickly for Lys
Eva Lys – Victoria Mboko 4: 6, 4: 6
Great talent, paired with youthful carefreeness, are often a toxic mix for the opponents. The best German player Eva Lys currently had this unpleasant experience in the 2nd round in Paris. Against the force of the 18-year-old Victoria Mboko, 23-year-old was simply overwhelmed in many phases. Above all, their 2nd surcharges were not enough, were too harmless and offered the qualifier from Canada too much space.
Not only had the first round victory against Peyton Stearn’s Lys had given confidence. Rather, she got her biggest problem, her rheumatic autoimmune disease. “I’ve never been as fit and injury -free as this year”said Lys in advance. But: Mboko is currently riding on a wave of success, the young talent had a 42 to 5 victory balance this year. In addition, she could four Challenger-Turniere win in 2025. Lys could not oppose this euphoria of Mbokos.
