French Health Minister Aurélien Rousseau, who strongly opposed the new, stricter immigration law adopted yesterday, handed over his letter of resignation to Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne on Tuesday evening. A ministerial source said this to the French news agency AFP, confirming a report in ‘Le Figaro’. Borne did not say whether she would accept the resignation.
