French fries producer Agristo buys a site in France to build a new factory

The company is investing 350 million euros to open a potato processing factory in 2027, which will create around 350 direct jobs.

French Industry Minister Roland Lescure will visit the site in Escaudoeuvres on Monday, where 123 people worked before the closure in March. Agristo production is expected to start in the second half of 2027.

The company was founded in 1986 and employs around 1,200 people in Belgium and the Netherlands, generating a turnover of around 900 million euros.
