French actor Jean-Louis Trintignant dies at age 91 | show

French actor Jean-Louis Trintignant died on Friday at the age of 91 in the south of France, his family said.

The actor has starred in dozens of films, including the Oscar-winning films Amour and A Man and a Woman† In addition, Trintignant received the Best Actor award at the Cannes Film Festival in 1969 for his role in the film z

Trintignant married actress Stephane Audran first, then director Nadine Marquand. With the latter he had three children, Pauline, Marie and Vincent. The couple divorced, after which he moved in with former racing driver Mariane Hoepfner.

One of his daughters, Marie, was murdered by her boyfriend in 2003. The actress was beaten to death by pop star Bertrand Cantat in a hotel room in Lithuania. The actor lost another child, named Pauline. She died at birth.
