The Breisgauer was worth 8.5 million euros. The 19-year-old right wing comes from the French second division team Troyes and, like Suzuki, is also supposed to strengthen the offensive. And the third newcomer is also a young attacker: Derry Scherhann was hired by Hertha BSC for two million euros. The 22-year-old was able to convince with seven goals and six templates for the capital club in the past season.
There was also something to report on the defensive. Anthony Jung changes from Werder Bremen to the Breisgauer, replaces Manuel Gulde, who ended his career.
Meanwhile, a transfer from Mainz 05 caused a sensation: The FSV signed Benedict Hollerbach from Union Berlin at the weekend. The 24-year-old signed a contract until 2029. According to Sky, Mainz transfers twelve million euros to the capital.
However, the transfer in the area of the club is noted with indignation. Background: Hollerbach’s move to Berlin two years ago was discussed controversially. Another controversial transfer is that of the Icelander ísak Jóhannesson. Because the 22-year-old switched from Fortuna Düsseldorf to the archrival 1. FC Köln. In the derby he met Cologne in February-and then kissed the coat of arms on his Fortuna jersey. Many fans resent him that he is now moving to Cologne.
The Bundesliga promoter pays around 5.5 million euros for the Icelander, who is supposed to strengthen the offensive midfield with its creativity. It is the second Cologne transfer to Ragnar Ache. The center forward comes from Kaiserslautern for around 4.5 million euros, so that the “Effzeh” has already invested ten million in total. A proud sum for a climber, who was able to accumulate some money due to transfer income in past change periods and a shopping block.
