Bundesliga club SC Freiburg has signed Austrian national player Annabel Schasching. The 20-year-old midfielder is moving from Austria’s runners-up Sturm Graz to Sport-Club during the winter break.
“Despite her young age, Annabel has already gained a lot of experience in the Austrian Bundesliga and will strengthen our midfield with her physique and her dangerous style of play,” said Birgit Bauer-Schick, department head at the fourth-placed Bundesliga team.
Schasching has scored eight goals and three assists in nine appearances for Graz this season. In 2021/2022 she was named player of the season in Austria’s women’s Bundesliga.
