Christian Streich and Jamal Musiala love each other again. The small dispute between the coach of the Bundesliga soccer club SC Freiburg and the national player of the record champions FC Bayern Munich was settled as expected on Saturday after the league game between the two clubs.
“I congratulated him on the win, that was nice. Now we’re going home,” said Streich, who, as previously announced by Musiala, received the 20-year-old’s jersey after the 1-0 defeat by Bayern.
The 20-year-old Musiala caused the hand penalty in injury time on Tuesday in Freiburg’s 2-1 victory in the quarter-finals of the DFB Cup. Streich wanted to comfort the offensive jewel after the final whistle, but the visibly disappointed Musiala refused to shake hands and left the SC coach standing.
