On Tuesday, Iltalehti reported on the Herrasmiehet lavalla line-up. Danny83, Eino Grön87, Erkki Liikanen83, Pasi Kaunisto75 and Kari Vepsä74, are going on a joint tour in the fall. Iskelmä singer Frederick81, tells Iltalehte that he was left behind by this assembly of legends.
– I didn’t qualify. I’m apparently on a boycott, says Frederik on the phone.

The singer does not hide his opinions on the state of affairs.
– I’m not a gentleman. I hope the Gentlemen’s bus drives into the first pole when they go into traffic, he throws a twinkle in the corner of his eye.
Frederik says the tour did not come as a complete surprise. The singer says that she visited Kari Vepsä with her female friend to look at his horses, and that she heard about it already at that time.
– We sat there in the village all evening.
Frederik marvels at the diversity of the Herrasmiehet on stage lineup.
– All the remaining singers have been gathered for it. All are different types of singers making different music. The whole thing goes on and on for a while. Is it wealth then? I don’t know that. The singer points out that big concert halls have their own risks, and tickets must sell well in order to stay on the plus side in terms of costs.
– Nobody gets rich there. That tour is definitely aimed at senior citizens, that line-up certainly won’t startle the younger generation. Danny is a completely different kind of singer compared to those others, he sings Ghost Rider and rock ‘n’ roll too.
Frederik guesses the name of the tour as Danny’s invention.
– It smells so bad for Danny, he speculated.
Frederik says that he and his colleague Danny are on good terms. In March, the two settled their dispute at Iltalehti’s studio. The singer reflects that the canceled Retrojeng tour in 2024 may have some influence on the fact that he is not part of this line-up. He famously angered Liikanen and Danny by leaving Retrojeng’s tour because of a fee squeeze with the organizer.
Frederik praises the conductor of the Gentlemen on stage tour Jari Puhakka a good choice.
– He is a good guy.
Iskelmätähti says he is not resting on his laurels. Frederik says that he will next head to the studio to make another summer rally.
– I now have ten gigs booked for the summer and more are coming all the time. Twenty gigs have already been booked for next winter in the Canary Islands. The last time there was a huge success, every night the house was full, he says.
