Hannover 96 sets the course for the future. The Lower Saxony made the first transfer for the next season perfect. There is a talent from BVB.

Hannover 96’s first new summer access comes from Borussia Dortmund. As the Lower Saxony announced on Wednesday, Franz Roggow changes from the U23 of BVB to a leash after the current season.

At 96, the 22-year-old central midfielder signed a contract until June 30, 2028. 96 sports director Marcus Mann is convinced of the obligation: “Franz was one of the most sought-after young players on the market, so we are very happy to have won him for us,” he is quoted in the club notification.

Roggow can play out his strengths in particular on the six and aft position. “He is tactical and technically extremely well trained and has pronounced strategic skills,” man explains. “Football, he brings a strong left foot, a good header game and quality with standards.” He is also a mentality player of the type.

So far, Roggow has played 59 third division games for the BVB reserve and scored six goals. In the Borussia third division team, he is part of the regular staff. “I had very good conversations with those responsible who really convinced me. In that, I gained the feeling that Hannover 96 is the next step for me,” he says about his upcoming change.

He already wishes his future employer much success for the upcoming Lower Saxony Sendary against Eintracht Braunschweig on Sunday (1.30 p.m.). “Of course I keep my fingers crossed for the team in every game – especially now in the derby,” said Roggow.
