Frank Junker leaves Munich Fabric Start.

The creative director and partner is retiring from the company after twenty years, Munich Fabric Start Exhibitions GmbH announced on Wednesday. During this time, Junker played a key role in shaping the strategic development of the trade fair as well as the Bluezone, View, Keyhouse and The Source formats and contributed to the international positioning of the events.

He is now leaving the company at his own request to devote himself to new entrepreneurial projects in the event industry. “The past few years have been an intense and formative time that I look back on with gratitude,” explained Junker. “The time has now come for me to withdraw from Munich Fabric Start and to focus on new topics both personally and as a business.”

“We would like to thank Frank Junker for his many years of collaboration and his contribution to the development of the trade fair over the past two decades,” said Wolfgang Klinder, co-founder & partner of Munich Fabric Start. “We respect his decision and wish him all the best for his future projects.”

The company had already made personnel changes in management in spring 2025. At the same time, content adjustments were also made. In the future, Bluezone, View, Keyhouse and The Source will be brought together under one roof in order to bundle processes and strengthen synergies between the areas.

In addition, Munich Fabric Start is reacting to changing order cycles in the industry and moving the summer date forward by six weeks from 2026. The next summer edition will take place from July 21st to 23rd, 2026.
