Radio 538 DJ Frank Dane thinks that his boss John de Mol would do well to immediately sign Maxime Meiland now that Chateau Meiland is ceasing to exist. “She can wear series!”
The Meilandjes have jointly decided to put an end to Chateau Meiland, despite the fact that the program is still a great success. Martien Meiland has been saying for years that he would like to quit and Maxime also recently indicated that he would like it. The reactions to the defamation case against her in particular have had a major impact.
‘Give Maxime a contract!’
Frank Dane, presenter of Radio 538, understands that Erica and Martien want to retire from TV at their age, but thinks that his boss John de Mol would do well to go after their offspring.
He says in the studio of RTL Boulevard: “I just want to throw this at you, Rob: you should give Maxime a television contract right away, right? She can also carry a series with Leroy and the children?”
‘Bad idea’
TV expert Rob Goossens does not understand this at all. “Well, you say Maxime of all people… I really wonder about that, because she actually has the least favor factor in this family.”
“She did a series with Montana. That didn’t catch on, so yes: I think if she sits next to the telephone waiting for calls from channels that want something… Yes, I hope she doesn’t hold her breath.”
‘We won’t!’
The chance is indeed very small that Maxime will get a TV contract on his own; she’s just not interesting enough for that, Rob wants to say. Frank: “I hear you say: nice idea, Frank, but we’re not going to do that.”
Rob concludes: “No, sorry!”
