Minister of Defense Theo Francken (N-VA) says that the conditions are currently not there to use soldiers for security assignments. Minister of the Interior Bernard Quintin (MR) had asked for this, so that more police officers could be deployed on the street, now that the drug violence flares up in Brussels.
