Francken receives approval for anti-drone plan, army will soon also be allowed to intervene at Zaventem airport

The Council of Ministers has given the green light to the anti-drone plan of Minister of Defense Theo Francken (N-VA). The rapid purchase of detection equipment and weapons to detect drones will cost more than 50 million euros. The army is also given permission to now also use these resources on civilian property, such as Zaventem airport.
