And, among the many comments that flooded Roman social media and radio, the one from former captain Francesco Totti caused a sensation, as he vented his anger in an audio clip which immediately went viral: “They pissed me off… when I scored a goal from a penalty. They said it was easy to take penalties. It has never happened in the history of football that I missed three one after the other… ‘damn you’. Only Roma manage to do these things”.

During the presentation of `Roast in Peace´, the new Amazon Prime Video program, the former Roma captain denied any paternity of the message, which has been circulating everywhere in the last few hours: “My audio released on the web after the three missed penalties by Roma against Lille? Come on… I’ll just tell you one thing: artificial intelligence, indeed!”. All accompanied by a mocking smile which, however, leaves some doubts for the astonished reporter. Then, commenting on the great start of the Giallorossi, first in the standings after six matchdays: “The team started off on the right foot, no one expected this start, let’s hope they can continue on this path. Gasperini? Let’s be honest, we haven’t fully seen his game yet, but I think it’s a good omen.”
