The English first division soccer team Aston Villa has signed the French international Lucas Digne from league rivals FC Everton.
According to British media, the transfer fee for the 28-year-old defender is up to 25 million pounds, the equivalent of 30 million euros.
Team manager Steven Gerrard’s club gave no information about the term of the contract. Digne is the second new signing at Villa in this transfer window after the former Munich-based Philippe Coutinho, who came on loan from FC Barcelona.
