Four Dutch soldiers were injured during an exercise on Tuesday. The soldiers were in two army vehicles that collided near the German city of Münster. The soldiers involved were treated on site and then transferred to hospital for further medical care.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the soldiers were in a Boxer armored vehicle and a Fennek reconnaissance wheeled vehicle during exercise Fighter Lion. Research must reveal what exactly went wrong.

Army medical workers were deployed immediately after the incident. Civilian emergency services have also been alerted. According to the ministry, the injured soldiers were not in danger of death and they themselves informed their loved ones.

The soldiers involved come from the 13 Light Brigade from Oirschot and the 43 Mechanized Brigade from Havelte.
