Four agents must stand trial for shooting Pieter (35): “There was no knife, there was no threat”

Four agents of the Antwerp police were referred to the criminal court for the shooting incident in which 35-year-old Pieter Aerts was killed. The agents claimed that Pieter, who was struggling with Psyschic problems, attacked them with a knife when they entered the apartment. The council chamber finds that a knife has never been found. Father René Aerts: “There was no knife, there was no threat from Pieter, so there was no reason for those agents to shoot.”
