Found a new communicator? FC Bayern chasing Monaco edge

Niklas Süle’s free transfer to BVB leaves a gap in FC Bayern’s defence. While sports director Hasan Salihamidzic wants to continue with the existing staff, coach Julian Nagelsmann insists on a new signing for the central defense. According to one report, a Chilean defensive man could help.

Hardly any part of the team at FC Bayern is currently being discussed more hotly than the defence. The differences of opinion between Salihamidzic and Nagelsmann regarding the need for fresh workers have already caused a public stir.

According to the current status, the record champions would start the 2022/2023 season with the French quartet Dayot Upamecano, Lucas Hernández, Benjamin Pavard and Tanguy Nianzou. Nagelsmann doesn’t think it’s ideal.

As the Munich newspaper “tz” reports, the people of Munich are keeping their eyes open on the transfer market and have come across the 28-year-old Chilean Guillermo Maripán from AS Monaco.

Maripán the right communicator for FC Bayern?

In 2019, the Ligue 1 representative transferred 18 million euros to Deportivo Alavés to bring the 1.93 meter international to the Principality.

A worthwhile investment for the Monegasques: Maripán quickly rose to become a regular player and particularly impressed with his goal threat.

According to reports, the experienced defender, whose current working paper is valid until 2024, is particularly interesting for FC Bayern because of his communicative nature. Nagelsmann would like a new speaker for the defensive.

Maripán’s advantage: In addition to Spanish and English, he also speaks French and could therefore exchange ideas with Upamecano and Co. without any problems.

So far, nothing is known about the amount of a possible fee.
