Fortuna Düsseldorf has to do without Matthias Zimmermann (30) indefinitely. The right-back suffered a torn fiber in his buttock muscles during the 4-1 draw at SC Paderborn on Friday evening and is now out “for the time being”, as the second division team announced on Saturday after further examinations.
Zimmermann had to be substituted in the 26th minute and was replaced by Tim Oberdorf (26), who stepped in as a back-up for right-back at the beginning of the season when Zimmermann was unavailable due to a torn inner ligament. Zimmermann has played 14 games this season, including one on Matchday 11 in Darmstadt as captain.
