Fortuna Düsseldorf is about to sign left winger Dennis Jastrzembski. According to information from Transfermarkt, the 23-year-old from the Polish first division club Slask Wroclaw will complete the medical check-up with the second division club on Tuesday. The forthcoming deal was first reported in Poland by “Wrocławskie Fakty“.
Despite the contract until 2025, Jastrzembski Fortuna will not cost a fee for the time being, Slask Wroclaw will only secure a stake in a resale. The financially troubled Ekstraklasa club gets one of the top earners off the payroll. Jastrzembski offers Fortuna coach Daniel Thioune another option in attack where he will be the only left-footed player.
Jastrzembski moved from Hertha BSC to Poland on a free transfer in January 2022, where he was directly involved in six goals in 50 games for Slask Wroclaw and twice narrowly managed to stay up in the Ekstraklasa. Before that, Jastrzembski worked for the Berliners for seven and a half years and was one of the Hertha professionals from 2018, for whom he made 16 appearances – interrupted by two loans to SC Paderborn and Waldhof Mannheim.
