Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen has the pole position secured for the Mexican Grand Prix.
The twice champion referenced in red bull in qualifying on Saturday (October 29, 2022) Mercedes driver George Russell and his teammates Lewis Hamilton to places two and three. The Mexican was fourth Sergio Perez in the second red bull.
For Verstappen it is the 19th pole of his career, with a win in the race on Sunday (9:00 p.m. CET) he would be the sole record holder in this category with 14 wins this season.
Schumacher and Vettel retired early
Mick Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel were already eliminated in the first section with a curiosity. Like his German buddy in the Aston Martin, Schumacher needed 1:20.419 minutes for the lap on the Haas Autodromo Hermanos Rodríguez.
A better attempt by Schumacher before had been canceled because he was against the track limits had violated. He ultimately finished 16th, Vettel was 17th.
