Cologne (dpa) – After his corona infection, Florian König has to do without the moderation of the Formula 1 race in Imola this Sunday. As the TV broadcaster RTL announced, Laura Papendick (33) represents the 54-year-old at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.
“Unfortunately, I got caught, but fortunately I have not had any symptoms so far,” said König, who had to give up moderating the soccer talk “Doppelpass” on Sport1 on Sunday.
Motorsport fans can again watch four Formula 1 races on free TV this season on RTL. The Cologne broadcaster will begin broadcasting the Grand Prix in Imola live on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
The other RTL races are Silverstone (July 3rd), Zandvoort (September 4th) and Sao Paulo (November 13th). The free-to-air broadcaster has acquired sub-licenses from pay-TV provider Sky, which, like last year, will show all races live.
