Is someone able to beat McLaren in qualifying this afternoon? The world champion team was again unable to conquer in the general rehearsal in the free training in Barcelona and secured the sovereign in the form of Oscar Piatri.

The Australian drove a time of 1: 12,387 minutes and was more than half a second in front of the rest of the world.

This rest was led by his team-mate Lando Norris, who made a mistake on his first test attempt and flew. So the Briton only drove its time on his second attempt.

Norris had lost the rear in the fast curve 9 and had to go through the run -out zone. Fortunately, he could simply drive back on the track on the paved path instead of sinking his car in the gravel bed.

Hamilton does not go beyond nine in Ferrari

Third was Ferrari-Pilot Charles Leclerc (+0.743 seconds) ahead of George Russell (+0,752) and world champion Max Verstappen, who was already short of a second in his Red Bull. Once again strong: Rookie Isack Hadjar (Racing Bulls) in sixth place.

Lewis Hamilton did not get past Andrea Kimi Antonelli (7./Mercedes) and Fernando Alonso (8./aston Martin) in his Ferrari. Liam Lawson (Racing Bulls) completed the top 10.

Nico Hülkenberg (clean) landed in twelfth place behind his teammate Gabriel Bortoleto.
