Former world champion mourns the death of Besar Nimani

Mourning for a professional boxer who was shot. Now Marco Huck has also spoken out.

The death of the former Bielefeld professional boxer Besar Nimani on Saturday evening shocked the boxing world (you can read more about it here). Now former world champion Marco Huck has also reached out via Facebook and expressed his condolences: “Rest in peace, Besar Nimani.” Huck shares another post with emotional pictures of the person killed.

Besar Nimani is said to have been killed by gunfire around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. The perpetrator or perpetrators are still on the run. The police had cordoned off parts of Bielefeld’s city center, it was said.

According to eyewitnesses, a group of men sat in a café and left it together. According to initial findings, the 38-year-old from Bielefeld with Kosovar citizenship was on Obernstrasse near Klasingstrasse when the perpetrator or perpetrators approached him and shot him. The victim, former professional boxer Nimani, reportedly could not be revived.
