A whole marathon? Ellen Hoog (39) doesn’t want to think about it. The former top hockey player (including two Olympic titles, in 2008 and 2012) finds half exhausting enough for the time being. “The last five kilometers are the toughest,” she says from her own experience. “You are then constantly talking to yourself.” Hoog is participating for the second time in Amsterdam this year.
