Brüning injured his knee
Robin Himmelmann has already been under contract with FC St. Pauli and Holstein Kiel and has kept himself fit at VfB Lübeck. At least in training, the 34-year-old will be wearing the jersey of another northern club in the future: Hamburger SV confirmed on Monday that the veteran goalkeeper will now be strengthening the training operations of the U21, which competes in the Regionalliga Nord. The club left it open whether there was a chance of a contractual cooperation.
The substitute keeper falls there Malte Brüning (19) is out with a knee injury until further notice. Steven Mensah (20), who made his debut in the Togo national team in the summer, is a regular at HSV II.
