Former presenter Viola Holt has died at the age of 76, her family announced this on Friday. In News of the Day, memories are reminisced with showbiz expert Ronald Molendijk. Viola Holt died in her hometown of Muiderberg. She became a TV icon last century as an announcer at the VPRO and later presenting programs such as The 5 o’clock show and TV romantica, after which she also made Klasgenoot. In 1984, Holt graced the Christmas cover of Playboy, which became the best-selling issue ever. In recent years she has been active as a Reiki master in her hometown. Viola was a guest on News of the Day on March 3.
