“Had to show a much more private side of me”
Ex-national player takes part in “Bachelor”.

Silje Brøns Petersen is actually known as a handball player. But the backcourt player now appears on reality TV.
From the record to reality TV: The former German national handball player Silje Brøns Petersen can be seen in the Danish edition of the dome show “Bachelor”. She recently announced her participation in the show on Instagram. Now she commented on it again on the “Antenne Sachsen” station.
“The most difficult thing for me was being in a very personal situation in which I had to show my feelings and talk about them,” said the BSV Sachsen Zwickau player about the show, which was filmed in Crete in the spring. “I’m used to being the handball player Silje, and I had to show a much more private side of myself.”
Brøns Petersen also describes her participation as “a really cool experience”. However, this has no impact on their performance on the record. “I know that there is a certain amount of interest in the show now, but it has already been filmed and that’s why I’m currently just concentrating on winning the games with Zwickau.”
The show, in which 16 participants compete for the favor of a bachelor, is broadcast on the “TV 2 Play” channel. However, in order to watch the episodes there, a paid subscription is necessary.
Brøns Petersen has been playing in Germany again since the summer. The 31-year-old was born in Denmark, but has had German citizenship since November 2021 and played 23 games for the national team, with which she took part in the 2021 World Cup and the 2022 European Championship. Brøns Petersen played for HSG Blomberg-Lippe between 2016 and 2020, then for TuS Metzingen until 2022. She then returned to Denmark and also played in Italy before moving to Zwickau.
