Former healthcare minister Ernst Kuipers did not yet have a new job when he suddenly left the outgoing cabinet at the beginning of this year. He wanted to accept an offer from Singapore to work for a renowned technical university there. And in his view, you cannot still serve as a minister to apply for a job, and he often had to go to Singapore for interviews.
