The daughter of Kinnunen Pia Partanen told IS that an ex-player car collided with a truck. Kinnunen was alone in his car.
Kinnunen played in the Finnish national team and, among other things, the Jokers. He was winning the Jokers’ first league championship in 1972-1973. After his career, the ex-hockey player worked for many years as the Joker’s second coach.
According to her daughter Pia Partanen, Kinnunen was still really good.
– Dad was a great person and a real steel hazard who took good care of his condition, the daughter told IS.
Kinnunen was returning from his cottage when the accident happened.
