Thorsten Fink actually does everything right.

He will never become the overtrainer. He seems to be able to live with that. With the numerous stations abroad, he can get to know beautiful countries, cities and cultures and still work as a trainer.

Living in Dubai will also be extremely good in the near future, as well as good pay.

Top.

I agree. Didn’t catch his statements about the structure, but if that was the case, that would still be a character trait that I absolutely don’t appreciate.
Apart from that, he did the right thing here, so you should take off your romantic glasses when it comes to football and remember that a man here does his job normally and you would hardly turn it down if an Aldi offered more than double that offers what you deserve at Lidl.

I can only repeat myself there. I can understand that the jobs related to football are associated with far more emotions than a normal job, whether as a contributing figure in the whole or just as an outsider as a spectator, but it is primarily their job and this is also the case about their future. Even with a Fink, who has certainly secured himself financially with this step.

He’s supposed to be like that, isn’t he? Was a professional for over 15 years, many of them during a very successful Bayern period. Well-paid trainer for years, so money can’t actually be THE motivation.

I don’t know the exact figures of his salary and account, so I can’t say whether he could afford not to see money as a motivation for his expenses, desires or plans. Maybe he knows how to deal with money or keeps his lifestyle rather small despite the income and would already have enough for the rest of his life without having to change or scale back anything. That can be anything. But first of all it is clear that the active time you mention is far behind and as a coach he is certainly not one of the better paid ones that can be found in other leagues. He probably won’t get there either.
The general sums at stake here may of course be high and, above all, sufficient for the average citizen, but if you live with a higher income, your lifestyle usually adapts to the sums. Even if you keep expenses small, they are still higher than what the average person spends. Money is always money and has the same value, but that doesn’t mean that certain sums have to be just as much or painful for someone who has more than they are for you or me. Hope you understand what I mean here.
So if he has adjusted his lifestyle and would like to continue doing it or even treat himself a little more without having to worry about it in the future, then that would be the right step and money would automatically become a motivation.

Give me his money and I guarantee I won’t have to go to work anymore. But I’m not him and he’s not me, which means that just because it would be enough for me and money shouldn’t be an option as a motivation, he sees it and experiences it the same way.
I hope my view came across reasonably understandable, I’m already relatively tired and my brain is so slow with words. smile
