Former FARC hostage Betancourt wants to become Colombia president: ‘I want to finish what I started’

Twenty years after Ingrid Betancourt was captured by the rebel group FARC, she wants to run again in Colombia’s presidential elections. The rebels took Betancourt hostage when she was also campaigning for president as a senator. She was imprisoned for six years until the Colombian army freed her in 2008.
