You can’t be liked by everyone! For years, Timothée Chalamet cultivated a reputation as one of Hollywood’s most talented young stars. This year he is nominated for an Oscar again (for his role in “Marty Supreme”). As an excerpt from the Epstein files shows, some people’s admiration is limited.

Woody Allen’s wife Soon-Yi Previn allegedly called Timothée Chalamet a “juicebag” in a 2018 email included in the Epstein files. That reports “NME”. The exchange was part of millions of documents released in connection with convicted former financier Jeffrey Epstein, who was jailed in July 2019 for sex trafficking of minors. He committed suicide in prison in August of that year.

The email contact clearly shows that Previn doesn’t really think much of Chalamet. She forwarded a slam of Chalamet’s film “Hot Summer Nights” (2018) and wrote to Epstein: “I’m glad that jerk Chalamet’s film didn’t get a good review. No, I’m not vindictive. :-)”

Woody Allen cast Timothée Chalamet in ‘A Rainy Day In New York’

Although it is not clear from the network contact why the 55-year-old is so hostile towards the actor, her attitude can perhaps be explained by the fact that Chalamet had previously clearly distanced himself from Woody Allen. The mime starred in his film “A Rainy Day In New York”. At that time, the allegations of abuse against the director, which had been forgotten for a long time, became loud again. Amazon even canceled the film at the time. Allen has repeatedly denied all allegations made against him.

Chalamet subsequently donated his fee for the film to various charities and expressed his regret about working with the former star filmmaker. He wrote on Instagram: “I don’t want to profit from my work on the film.” “A Rainy Day In New York” was released in 2019. Many considered the film not to be Allen’s best work, to say the least.
