Won a long-distance duel with city rivals
Shanghai Port are Chinese champions again. With a 1-0 away win at Dalian Yingbo on the last matchday, the traditional club celebrated the title for the third time in a row. Left winger Gabrielzinho scored the decisive goal in the 4th minute. For Australian coach Kevin Muscat it is the third trophy with SH Port.
In the long-distance duel, city rivals Shanghai Shenhua still had a chance of winning the championship, but had to hope for a draw or a defeat from Shanghai Port, which didn’t happen. So the 3-1 win against Tianjin Jinmen Tiger was only enough for second place.
