Football riots result in club matches without away supporters

The professional football prosecutor has reprimanded FC Den Bosch for riots around the match against Willem II. Some of the supporters came to blows and the visitors’ section was evacuated by the riot police. The club will not be punished for setting off fireworks during the match against TOP Oss. As punishment for the riots, FC Den Bosch must play against Helmond Sport without an audience on December 16.

Immediately after the match against Willem II, Den Bosch distanced itself from the behavior of part of its own supporters. That is why the Bossche club decided shortly afterwards not to take supporters to the next two away games. Due to the ruling, there will therefore be an away match without Bossche supporters.

Match against TOP Oss
During the match against TOP Oss, fireworks were set off and thrown onto the field. There was fighting between the supporters of both teams, chairs were demolished and thrown and a security guard was assaulted. The prosecutor pays football has let it be known that this case will not get any tail.

General director of FC Den Bosch, Rob Almering, says that he is happy with the conclusion of the prosecutor. The prosecutor believes that a lot of responsibility has already been taken by the club and the supporters’ association to prevent a recurrence and therefore thinks the punishment is enough.
