On Thursday (02/03/2022) the French association gave FFF the official application for the EM tournament 2025 announced. The decision on the host will be made by the Executive Committee of the European Football Union UEFA in December.

Other candidates include Poland, Switzerland, Ukraine and an alliance of Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland. The German Football Association (DFB) had already announced in 2020 a joint bid with the Netherlands and Belgium for the 2027 World Cup. The next European Championship will take place in England this summer (July 6th to 31st).
