Cologne fans plan derby boycott
Some of the supporters of 1. FC Köln want to boycott the west derby on February 20 at Borussia Mönchengladbach.
As the fan club organization “Südcurve 1. FC Köln” announced on its website, this is a reaction to a limited number of guest tickets for the game. “This decision is very difficult for us, but is supported by large parts of our community,” it said.
The people of Cologne are only entitled to around 2,700 tickets for the match in Borussia Park. This is a safety requirement after FC supporters stormed the field at the derby on February 14, 2015 in Mönchengladbach.
