Personnel concerns at FC Bayern before the Champions League away game at Viktoria Pilsen: In addition to goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, Matthijs de Ligt, Alphonso Davies and Serge Gnabry were also absent from the final training session. Sven Ulreich will be in goal for Neuer.

FC Bayern only flies with a core squad to the Champions League game at Viktoria Pilsen. After the failures of Jamal Musiala (Corona), Lucas Hernández and Bouna Sarr (both injured), a prominent quartet was missing from the final training session on Tuesday morning in Munich.

Manuel Neuer, Matthijs de Ligt, Alphonso Davies and Serge Gnabry did not take part in the session with coach Julian Nagelsmann. Davies had himself in Bundesliga top game at Borussia Dortmund (2:2) suffered a contusion of the skull. His use was hardly to be expected anyway.

New one is probably out

Unlike Neuer, de Ligt and Gnabry. De Ligt was substituted early in Dortmund with an adductor problem, Gnabry unfortunately with a knee contusion. The Munich goalkeeper and captain has shoulder problems that hampered him before the Dortmund game.

Coach Julian Nagelsmann confirmed at the press conference before the Pilsen game that Neuer had too much pain in his shoulder to be able to play. Sven Ulreich will replace him. Whether Neuer is ready to play by Sunday when it comes to SC Freiburg in the Bundesliga is also still open.
