Abifade picks up speed on the left, pulls inwards a bit and is stopped by the lying Seegert. The central defender had previously slipped and somehow blocked the ball, which was a little too far, with his head. However, the hosts want to see a handball and complain loudly that the referee’s whistle doesn’t sound.

13:36

The ball is again left in midfield ready for the SVW free kick. Approximately from the position he came before the 1:0. This time the cross lands right in the arms of Jonas Kersken.

13:32

The current draw corresponds to the course of the game. Both teams gave nothing and took their only real chance to score coldly.

24

13:31

Immediately after the equalizer, there is now the official drinking break and the first change. Marco Höger has to be substituted with problems with his ribs. Stefano Russo is new for the former Cologne native.

Samuel Abifade

Tooor for SV Meppen, 1:1 by Samuel Abifade

A perfect counterattack equalizes! Faßbender gets the ball centrally in his own half and serves Abifade with a clever direct pass. The 22-year-old picks up the pace, crosses the path of his opponent and sprints from the left on the center line to the right of the five. There he is disturbed by Małachowski. But that doesn’t stop Abifade from luffing the ball beautifully over the rushing Behrens into the far corner. Really strong action from the newcomer and his first goal for the SVM!

20

13:25

The referee clears the game again and it continues with a goal kick from Morten Behrens. Marco Höger also returns to the field seconds later.

18

13:22

Marco Höger is in his own half on the pitch and needs treatment. All other actors use the interruption for a short drinking break.

16

13:20

The first quarter of an hour is over and Dominik Martinovic’s very early 1-0 continues. Apart from the goal, there weren’t any big chances for either side. Accordingly, the inattention of the SVM defensive still makes the difference.

14

13:18

Now the calm in the SVW construction would have been almost punished. Meppen presses extremely high and constricts the guests on their own right corner flag. In the end, however, a player in blue is shot and there is a throw-in for Mannheim, who can then free themselves from the pressure situation.

13:16

Meppen comes forward on the right side and the ball flies out of the half field in front of the opposing goal. Riedel is in between and calmly puts the ball back on his keeper. Behrens isn’t worried either, although he’s being attacked and is sure to play out the back.

8th.

13:14

Mannheim makes a very good impression in the first few minutes. SV Waldhof controls the action with their own possession of the ball and always goes way up front when they lose the ball. As a result, they have already forced a number of bad passes.

5.

13:11

The home side are by no means shocked by the early deficit. The Meppeners, who play in blue, are now showing themselves to be offensive for the first time. Abifade misses the target from the right on the edge of the penalty area.

3.

13:10

For Dominik Martinovic it is the first goal. In the previous season he got eleven stalls in 33 matches.

Dominik Martinovic

Tooor for Waldhof Mannheim, 0:1 by Dominik Martinovic

Mannheim gets off to a flying start! The free kick from the left almost from the center line sails high and far into the penalty area. The SVM can initially clear, but the ball quickly comes back up into the box. Wagner skilfully lifts the ball in front and suddenly Martinovic is completely free. From about seven meters, the striker can no longer take the opportunity and executes in the right corner.

13:04

Here we go! Eric-Dominic Weisbach gives permission for a game in professional football for the first time and whistles a foul in midfield after just a few seconds. There is a free kick for the guests.

12:55 p.m

The big story of the encounter is clearly the return of Christian Neidhart. The 53-year-old coached SV Meppen from 2013 to 2020 and led the club back to professional football. For this he will be remembered in Emsland forever!

12:51

Christian Neidhart made four changes to the starting line-up during the English week. Marten Winkler is rewarded for his winning goal against Aue with his first third division appearance from the start. Adrian Małachowski, Adrien Lebeau and Fridolin Wagner also get their chance.

12:48 p.m

Compared to the gossip against 1860 Munich, Stefan Krämer exchanged twice. Marcus Piossek and Morgan Faßbender replaced Ole Käuper and Mike Feigenspan, who both took a seat on the bench, in the starting XI.

12:38 p.m

The start of the season was almost perfect for Waldhof Mannheim. The SVW has not yet lost a competitive game and was even able to throw Holstein Kiel out of the competition in the DFB Cup. During the week there was also a real thriller against Erzgebirge Aue, which substitute Marten Winkler decided in favor of Baden-Württemberg with a very late goal. Accordingly, the chest of the Mannheimers is broad and they are aiming for the jump to second place.

12:28

The English week has been a real rollercoaster ride for SV Meppen so far. Last Sunday, the Emslanders were able to celebrate a clear 3-0 win against FSV Zwickau and went unbeaten in the duel with TSV 1860 Munich. There, however, the SVM conceded a bitter 4-0 beating. After the lions, Mannheim is now up against the next candidate for promotion. Of course, Stefan Krämer and his team want to present themselves better today and could even draw level with the SVW with a threesome.

11:58

Hello and welcome to the 3rd division on Sunday. SV Meppen welcomes SV Waldhof Mannheim 07. The game kicks off at 1 p.m. in the Hänsch Arena.
