After the lead, Ulm was in the mood to play. After a fine backheel trick by Dennis Chessa, Felix Higl was in the six-meter box, but only hit the side netting (23′). The 60s needed more than 30 minutes to become dangerous for the first time. But Ulm’s keeper Christian Ortag was able to defuse Eroll Zejnullahu’s 20-meter shot (32′). Jesper Verlaat (TSV 1860 Muenchen) in a duel with Philipp Maier (SSV Ulm 1846).

Even after the break, Ulm was the stronger team with the better chances. However, coach Thomas Wörle’s team was unable to capitalize on their superiority. After Nicolas Jann’s breakthrough on the left side, Chessa came a step too late in the six-yard box to push the ball over the line after Jann’s cross pass (52′). Lukas Ahrend was denied by Hiller from about 16 meters (85′). So it remains a deserved 1-0 – for SSV Ulm 1846 Fußball it is already the fifth win.
