A new name has been added to the list of Bruges artists who have a lasting bond with the city and the cultural center for the Stadsschouwburg. Benny Scott performed there dozens of times and is best known for the song ‘Ken Brugge in m’n erte’, which became the Bruges national anthem. His tile is next to those of Willy Lustenhouwer and Raymond van het Groenewoud, among others.
The singer is visibly impressed. “I never thought I’d see my name on a tile here, next to greats,” Scott says. “It really overwhelms me.”
