Foetsie! This happened with the crooked cola bottle at the gas station on the Zuidweg

Do you know the crooked Cocacola bottle at the gas station along Zuidweg 98? The figurehead for many people in Rokkeveen and the surrounding area, suddenly disappeared last year. What happened to it?

For the ‘Mysteries’ section on Indebuurt, Zoetermeerder Dana Kamsteeg sent the above question. When driving past her children always saw the crooked cola bottle as a sign where they knew: we are almost at home. A big loss!

Oldie

For three years, the OK gas station has been located at this address after the departure of Q8. Pump holder Perry says: “The Coca-Cola bottle has been there for twenty years. That thing was very old and I asked Coca-Cola to remove it. They didn’t want that, so last year I did that myself. The bottle ended up in the container.”

A new figurehead?

When asked if there will be a new cola bottle, Perry is very clear: “No, that is not there. There is now a nice sign from our OK station.”
