National player Florian Wirtz has contradicted an alleged claim that he should make Liverpool FC during a change.
National player Florian Wirtz has reported that he should insist on the number 10 when switching to Liverpool FC. In an Instagram story, the 22-year-old wrote: “Who says I want number 10? I respect players.”
In the “Reds”, the prestigious number 10 is currently worn by Alexis Mac Allister. Wirtz added: “Don’t believe everything that is written.” And provided his comment with a clown emoji. In doing so, he contradicted a corresponding report by Sky, in which it was claimed that he absolutely wanted number 10.
Negotiations between Bayer Leverkusen and Liverpool on the transfer fee are still difficult. Leverkusen has reportedly rejected an offer of just over 130 million euros. It is speculated that the final amount could be between 140 and the required 150 million euros. Both clubs work to reach an agreement while Wirtz competes with the German national team in the semi -finals of the Nations League against Portugal.
In the advertising around Wirtz, Liverpool had also cut out FC Bayern, to which Wirtz made a cancellation. Before that, the media had long said that Wirtz would tend to switch to the German record champion and only wanted to move to Munich. Sometimes there was even talk of a signed preliminary contract. But that turned out to be wrong. Just like his alleged desire for number 10.
