Florence airport comes with new one "green" terminal: vineyard of no less than 77,000 square meters on the roof

Rafael Viñoly Architects has ambitious plans for the airport in Florence, the capital of the Italian region of Tuscany. The result should be a new “landmark for the sustainable development of the city”. There will be a brand new ‘green’ terminal. This should imitate the typical Tuscan vineyard landscape. The company wants to place a 77,000 square meter vineyard on the roof. In this way, they also want to put the wine-producing heritage of the region in the spotlight.
