“The situation is under control.” This is what acting provincial governor Anne Martens said after the crisis meeting this morning in Diksmuide. “The situation at the Blankaart and the IJzer in Diksmuide in particular is currently being closely monitored. The focus of the emergency services is now mainly on protecting the municipality of Diksmuide.”
