The dredging works in the IJzer basin started in September 2024. The Lo channel will be tackled as a priority because the most efficiency gains can be achieved through this route in the event of new high water levels on the IJzer upstream from Reninge. The navigation channel of the 14.3 kilometer long Lo Canal will be brought back to a depth of 2.20 meters everywhere.
