The ice in Stavele cracks when people step on it. The layer is not thick, but thick enough to allow skating. There is therefore not much danger as it is a flooded meadow and is therefore not too deep.
The skating fun won’t last very long: the minimum temperatures will remain around four degrees tonight. There is only a chance of light night frost on the night of tomorrow evening into Monday.
